Lead the planning and execution of high-impact events for multiple business units at NVIDIA. Oversee a diverse portfolio of events to drive engagement, brand awareness, and business objectives while managing a team of event managers.

What you’ll be doing:

Research, assess and evaluate event opportunities, providing guidance and insights to leadership on creative, effective, and efficient ways to activate events.

Develop and implement strategic event plans aligned with company goals, ensuring flawless execution and exceptional attendee experiences.

Take charge of organizing and implementing impactful events for various business units at NVIDIA, as well as for consumers and developers. Employ your expertise and creativity to ensure the delivery of exceptional events.

Lead and guide a team of event managers, supporting their growth and development to cultivate a collaborative and team-oriented culture that promotes productivity.

Allocate resources and assign projects within the team based on individual strengths and event requirements, ensuring optimal utilization of skills and expertise.

Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to determine event objectives and desired outcomes, and drive alignment throughout the planning and execution process.

Own the North America event budget portfolio, forecasting annual/individual event costs, managing the event budget process, tracking spends, and providing detailed reports on financial performance.

Evaluate event metrics and ROI to consistently enhance event effectiveness. Employ data-driven insights to improve future event strategies and initiatives.

Develop and own a regular reporting cadence on event metrics that gets rolled up to executive leadership, providing actionable recommendations for improvement and growth.

Contribute to the enhancement of overall process, templates, and team operations by documenting important insights, ensuring continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What we need to see:

Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience), providing a strong foundation for strategic event management.

10 overall years of experience in managing corporate events, including at least 3 years in a leadership position, showcasing a proven track record of successfully organizing and overseeing large-scale events, conferences, and tradeshows.

Ability to travel internationally for week-long periods 5-6 times a year, allowing for global event opportunities and expanding your network.

Be located in the Bay Area and available to work at NVIDIAs Santa Clara offices 2-3 days a week, promoting collaboration and cooperation with various teams.

Strong leadership and team management skills, to effectively lead and inspire a team of event managers delivering exceptional results.

Excellent project management and organizational abilities, ensuring flawless execution and timely delivery of events within budget.

Proficient in using event management software and tools to optimize processes and enhance event experiences.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, empowering you to establish solid connections with internal team members, external partners, and event attendees.

Knowledge of event technologies and staying up-to-date with industry trends, enabling you to incorporate creative solutions and deliver exceptional event experiences.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

MBA or relevant advanced degree, showcasing your commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Experience with virtual and hybrid event formats, showcasing adaptability and proficiency in utilizing digital platforms to create engaging and immersive event experiences.

Knowledge of current trends in the event industry, and ability to stay up-to-date and implement creative event strategies.

Familiarity with marketing and sales processes in a B2B environment, facilitating collaboration and alignment with sales teams to drive business objectives.

Background with consumer and developer audience targets, allowing you to tailor event experiences and engagement strategies to specific target segments.

The base salary range is 144,000 USD – 258,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
