Security Coordinator
SUMMARY
Provide administrative support and clerical organization for the Safety & Security Programs, Worker’s Compensation Program and the Safety Committee.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
AVERAGE % OF TIME
60% – Effectively manage all clerical and file information affiliated with the Security Department, Associate Worker’s Compensation program and Safety Committee. Ensure all Worker’s Compensation and General Liability files are organized and up to date. Proactively communicate, obtain and provide all applicable claim information to Doctors, Insurance Adjusters, Brokers and Managers of injured Associates. Utilize and maintain the WCCMS (Worker’s Compensation Software). Maximize overall efficiency by maintaining concise and accurate logs and tracking records to ensure documented compliance of OSHA/HIPAA/DWC guidelines and Injured Worker Rights.
30% – Support the Security Department by performing the essential functions of a Security Officer II.
10% – Maintain a professional working environment and attitude. Assist in scheduling appointments, meetings, file reviews, safety services, safety training and injury prevention.
OTHER
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, Associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all Associates are required to fully comply with Montage rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel’s facilities. Associates who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the Manager based upon the particular requirements of the Resort:
Order and maintain office supplies, equipment and Safety Committee meeting minutes/presentations.
Respond to Security related calls.
Overall organization and record keeping within the Security Department.
Assist with setting up and training new hires/MORES.
Additional duties as necessary and assigned.

Must be computer literate and must be familiar with using related software / systems used in this position.
Must possess basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Windows), Saflok, ELSAFE, WCCMS, Risxfacs and Internet Explorer.
Ability to accurately type at least 50 words per minute and to follow proper etiquette when writing on letterhead or email.
Must be able to follow up on all requests (phone calls / email) and ensure that all requests were completed in a timely manner.
Must be certified in CPR, First Aid and AED.
Bilingual English / Spanish preferred due to diverse workforce and communication needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by Resort environmental systems.
Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours per day. Walking and standing are required. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning and filing tasks.
Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other Associates.
Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
Must be able to perform one person CPR.
Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machine, electric typewriter, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed.
The pay scale for this position is $27.42
The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
