Spice Assembler – 2nd shift

SUMMARY: Responsible for packing and assembling a quality product in an efficient manner for production by performing the following duties

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Places loose or packaged materials or ingredients on scales and add or remove portions of material to obtain specified weight

Reads formula book to determine types and quantities of materials to weight

Follows all schedules and tasks that concern job quality

Maintains perpetual inventory of materials on hand

Transfers weighed materials to production or storage areas

Other duties as assigned

Must maintain and comply with all HAACP, OSHA, USDA, SSOP, and GMP requirements

Be willing to be cross trained within department to cover responsibilities if required

REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos in English

Must have basic mathematical skills

Capable of regularly lifting and /or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 75 lbs.

Ability to work on production floor; a wet, cold, and loud environment

Previous blending experience is highly preferred
