Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to serve on a project team supporting offshore assets for a leading oil & gas operator in the Gulf of Mexico.
Position Type: Direct
Location: Keystones Metairie or Mandeville office (remote option considered) / Client office in downtown New Orleans (required 2 days a week)
Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary
Travel Requirements: Occasional
Essential Functions:
Be an integral part of a project team providing technical support to offshore assets in the Gulf of Mexico for a major oil & gas exploration company.
Work in a hybrid setting with 2 days a week in client office in downtown New Orleans and remaining time working in Keystones Metairie or Mandeville office (Remote option considered)
Provide technical and project management support in the civil/structural discipline for maintenance and operations activities on offshore oil & gas production platforms.
Support engineering requests for scope development, design & technical support, and coordination with other team associates across a wide range of capital expenditures.
Develop solutions and engineered deliverables utilizing client procedures and industry standards.
Provide technical oversight to ensure vendor equipment designs are per codes and standards for offshore environment.
Collaborate with design and project team members that consist of company direct and contractor provided professional staff.
Follow corporate quality control guidelines for design package development and issuance.
Participate in HAZID activities that occur during the project life cycle, if required.
Ensure that all equipment and materials of construction are accurate and detailed for procurement functions.
Investigate and identify project critical long lead items and ensure procurement meets schedule deadlines.
Manage internal and external resources for execution of engineering and design packages to be issued for construction.
Coordinate with construction team for planning and scheduling of construction activities
Provide stewardship throughout all phases of engineering and construction to ensure project success.
Provide accountability and regular communications with the project team and stakeholders.
Act in the best interest of the client to ensure project commitments are achieved.
Support project reporting metrics and manage deviations.
Promote safety in all aspects of involvement.
Requirements:
B.S. in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (BSCE, preferred).
4 years of civil/structural engineering experience from industrial sector, preferably from Upstream Oil & Gas.
Familiarity with project management principles and performance metrics.
Ability to make field trips, if required, and lead in all project communications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
Team Player and willingness to help others.
Attention to detail.

Current TWIC Card required, or ability to obtain with 4-6 weeks.
Experienced Preferred:
PE License or ability to obtain is preferred
Experience with offshore structures
Experience with SACS structural analysis software.
