Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Project Manager to join our Product Support team. This role will be based at our Rancho Bernardo, CA (San Diego) location. This role requires strong project management, organization, and communication skills.

Key responsibilities:

Develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocations and concerns, and budget forecasts.

Identify project milestones, critical paths, and potential risks, and develop contingency plans to address them.

Facilitate regular meetings and communications to keep all parties informed of project progress, changes, and issues.

Review financial reports and forecasts and elevate findings to management as needed.

Consolidate and organize engineering source data, review recommended technical manual updates and offer recommendations for amendments.

Proactively identify potential project risks, issues, and opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate or resolve them.

Implement corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Manager (Level 3):

Bachelors Degree with 5 years of experience OR Masters Degree with 3 years of experience

3 years of experience in Project Management to include schedule development, budget oversight, professional level chart development, logistics coordination, and data entry.

Valid drivers license.

Active Secret clearance is required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

PMP or other relevant project management certification.

Experience working in a Product Support team

Experience with the Aerospace Industry and/or the NG AISR&T portfolio

Strong skills in Microsoft suite of tools to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

Experience utilizing Concur and ITRIP systems

Experience with presenting to leadership, executives, and or management

Salary Range: $88,700 – $133,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
