Registered Nurse, Per Diem Days PACU NMC

The PACU RN team member is responsible for working with multi-disciplinary healthcare professionals to care for patients in Phase I post operatively/post-procedurally.

Essential Function/Responsibilities:

Candidate will deliver care to Phase I and/or Phase II patients post procedure.

Candidate will monitor, report, and record assessments, vital signs, symptoms and/or changes in patient conditions in an accurate and timely fashion.

Candidate will administer medications to patients and provide oversight for side effects and reactions.

Candidate will demonstrate the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.

Through the model of Shared Governance, the candidate will collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE values (Purpose, Respect, Innovation, Diversity and Inclusion and Extraordinary Caring) in every aspect of their job.

Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.

Candidate will perform other related duties as assigned.

Required:

1. Valid, current NJ state license as a Registered Nurse

2. 3 years current PCU level or higher nursing experience.

3. BLS certification

4. ACLS certification

5. PALS certification

6. Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course

7. IV certified

Preferred:

1. Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

a. All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
