Lab Assistant

Job Summary:
The Lab Assistant will assist with the following:
-Receiving donors into the program
-Storing donors
-Set up of donors for Lab use
-Maintaining cadavers being utilized in the Lab
-Facilitating the use of Gross Anatomy materials for courses
-Storing Gross Anatomy materials
-Setting up Neuro Anatomy Labs
-Storing Neuro Lab materials
-Setting up Lab practical exams
-Breaking down Lab practical exam set ups
-Maintaining inventory of personal protection items
-Cleaning tools and equipment
-Maintaining a clean environment
-Preparing cremation boxes
-Boxing cadavers for cremation
-Preparing donors for shipment
-Boxing donors for shipment
-Loading and unloading cadavers being shipped
The Lab Assistant will observe the following:
-Embalming process procedures
-Paperwork completion process for incoming and outgoing donors
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree required. Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree preferred. Licensed Funeral Director preferred.
Work Days:
Monday – Friday with possible Weekends
