Join the Information Technology Services team at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oneonta as Instructional Support Technician. Expectations include, but are not limited to, providing forward facing customer support for all university learning spaces and events, supporting the installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and software including Audio/Video technology, working together with the Director of IT Customer Support and team members to recommend current technology solutions for initial installation, as well as cyclic replacement as needed, and providing technical support for special events in the form of audio, video, projection, and streaming. Information Technology Services has 41 employees working as a team to provide technology solutions across campus. The department of IT Customer Support is one of five departments within SUNY Oneontas ITS organization. Working together with the Networking and Telecommunications, IT Security and Client Computing, Systems and Solutions, and Enterprise Application Services, the department offers prospective employees an opportunity to work in an exciting fast-paced area focused on providing high quality customer service to the campus community. Design, install, and maintain multi-media and projection systems.Provide instruction to faculty, students, and others in the use of multimedia equipment.Consult campus programs and departments regarding media systems. Assist with audio and video recording for a variety of project types in different recording environments.Maintain current technical expertise and utilizing state-of-the-art techniques when implementing solutions. Requirements:Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree Experience working with Information Technology Ability to work on ladders and lifts Ability to lift 50 poundsMust be available to work outside of normal business hoursPreferred: Experience setting up, installing and operating projection systems, audio equipment, videoconferencing hardware and softwareFamiliarity with Windows and Mac operating systems Experience with Extron control systemsAbility to work independentlyExperience working with and serving diverse populations.
