Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a 1st Shift Final Assembly Manager 3 to oversee operation activities in the Final Assembly Area (Electronic Warfare, Antenna, Receiver/Exciter, and RSIT) at our Baltimore, MD facility .
You will have organizational responsibility for up to 150 employees including Manufacturing Management and Union represented employees. The primary mission is to meet or exceed customer requirements by providing quality products on time and within program cost targets, while promoting a lean manufacturing environment.
This position will require the incumbent to arrive no later than 6:00am.
What You’ll get to Do:
Providing leadership direction in areas such as: Technical Guidance, Process Development, Continuous Improvement, Capacity Planning, Capital & Facility Planning, Cost/ Benefit Analysis, Manpower Planning, Staffing, PAS Execution and ISO9001, AS9100 and all auditable processes
Managing annual budgetary responsibilities of $1M – $4M
Providing direction to employees utilizing management guidelines and general policies
Driving employee efficiency
Meeting product cost and schedule targets
Managing the area to produce quality products
Engaging employees to achieve their highest potential
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree with 8 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Production Control Environment; Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Production Control Environment
Exceptional Leadership capabilities with a proven track record of managing people and/or teams in a Manufacturing and/or Production Control environment Including experience managing organizations of 20 or more individuals
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of Manufacturing, Program, Engineering, Functional Support Management, and Professionals
Proficient in developing and managing budgets with responsibility for cost performance
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a union represented environment
Experience with robotics, RF, ISO9001/AS9100
LEAN manufacturing and process improvement experience
Active U.S. Secret level security clearance
Experience with the following metrics: Performance Index, Test Yields and Rework Hours
Technical STEM degree

Salary Range: $142,600 – $213,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
