Position Overview:

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a 30-week, full-time contract at a school in Hiddenite, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLPA looking to make a meaningful impact in the educational field and to gain observation hours from an SLP.

Compensation Package:

Local Pay Rate: $39 – $41 per hour (based on experience)

Total Travel Package: $1,922.00 per week

Taxable Wages: $760.00 per week

Weekly Housing Allowance: $749.00 per week

Weekly Meals & Incidentals Allowance: $413.00 per week

Note: Must reside over 50 miles away to qualify for the travel package.

Schedule:

38 hours per week

Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Duration:

30 Weeks (School Year)

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in conducting assessments to evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication abilities.

Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.

Document and report on students’ progress and maintain accurate records.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ communication needs.

Requirements:

Valid SLPA license in North Carolina

Kind, passionate, and flexible team player

Strong communication and documentation skills
