What You Will Be Doing:

As the Digital Solutions Consultant, you will join a growing team with the goal of creating and supporting the best digital experiences possible for our customers. You will be responsible for knowing the ins-and-outs of the business, our customers, processes, and systems to support our digital transformation journey. In this role, you will have ownership of various experiences of the digital ecosystem and the outcomes that we deliver for our customers as well as our internal users, such as sales, operations, technicians, etc. The ideal candidate will leverage customer and market insights to develop a strategy and roadmap for their area(s) of responsibility and work with the digital solutions specialists, customer care reps, sales teams, marketing teams, etc. to execute plans. We are looking for a hands-on, highly engaged, ambitious, self-motivated individual to work across departments with the capabilities to deliver cutting-edge digital experiences that have a positive impact on our digital excellence initiatives and overall bottom line. This candidate will be able to organize both ideas and people and excel at problem solving of all kinds. By clearly defining requirements and removing blockers, you will act as a catalyst for productivity on the Digital Solutions team. The goal for this candidate is to build, support, and transform applications and experiences to deliver best-in-class, seamless, customer experiences.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

Strategize – Collect feedback from sales, marketing, customer care, and other operational functions to improve customer experiences. Collaborate with product owners, customers, leadership, and stakeholders to define the experience vision and develop the roadmap to ensure we deliver a best-in-class digital experience. Determine ongoing improvement opportunities to achieve revenue and efficiency targets. Stay aware of emerging trends, market opportunities, and competitive solutions and influence.

Influence – Ability to internalize multiple user needs, synthesize feedback into priorities, and juggle several work streams with multiple stakeholders. Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, organizational, and project management skills. Ability to manage change, collaborate across groups, facilitate discussions, and influence others.

Collaborate – Partner with Caterpillar, IT, key business stakeholders, etc. to ensure alignment on roadmaps and end state visions. Ability to create documentation to explain and sell vision and roadmaps. Align closely with IT and Caterpillar on the assessment of current “back of house” business systems, process and operations to inform future solutions and integrations.

Interpret – Ability to interpret business performance drivers, the competitive landscape and customer needs to develop comprehensive roadmaps. Experience managing sophisticated and ambiguous initiatives and driving to real, tangible experiences and benefits.

Analyze – Work with the business to identify KPIs and create necessary dashboards to measure ongoing performance and optimization. Review customer feedback to include future roadmap items. Leverage data and insights to identify areas for improvement throughout the sales process and customer experience journey.

Build – Work with business stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and prioritization. Build rollout plans and manage deadlines. Create, define, and iterate user stories and manage sprint releases. Provide subject matter expertise on the systems, experiences, integrations, processes, and operations within area(s) of responsibility.

Execute – Work with business owners to plan and deliver communications, training and coordinate change management activities regarding new projects, enhancements, and production issues. Navigate governance processes and directly coordinate deployment programs.

Communicate – Ensure cross functional coordination for projects within purview to realize flawless execution of initiatives. Ability to present concepts and experiences to IT, sales groups, leadership, etc. to gain buy-in and commitment for initiatives. Able to communicate not just on the what or how, but also the why.

Commercialization – Commercialize the digital experience to increase activation, adoption, utilization and retention.

Education/Experience:

The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience. A degree in marketing, technology, engineering, communications, business, or a related field is preferred.

3 years of experience in digital strategy, digital operations, progressive transformation, business operations, or technology enablement.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in digital analytics tools and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making

Strong analytical skills

Must be willing and able to submit to customer security requirements included but not limited to additional background checks, drug screens, and providing additional identification.

Environmental Job Requirements:Environment:

Most of your time is spent sitting at a computer.

Willing to work in a climate-controlled environment with moderate noise levels and vibrations carried over from the shop.

Physical:

Will require appropriate Personal Protection Equipment to be worn in safety sensitive areas.

Occasionally lift, carry, and lower up to 15 lbs.
