OVERVIEW The Director of Business Transformation is responsible for driving the strategic planning and execution of initiatives that transform the business model, operational processes, and organizational culture. This role requires a visionary leader who can align business goals with technology, innovation, and services, ensuring that the organization remains competitive in a rapidly changing market. The Senior Director will work closely with senior leadership, department heads, and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and lead projects that enhance the companys product offerings (existing and new), performance, efficiency, customer satisfaction and client retention. This role will be client facing and dedicated to the Cigna Advanced Plan Administration business for the initial 12 months with the opportunity to expand responsibilities to other clients or enterprise-wide. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive business transformation strategy that aligns with the company’s vision and objectives. Identify key areas of improvement and innovation, focusing on long-term growth and sustainability. Collaborate with executive leadership and client leaders to set transformation goals and metrics for success. Change Management: Lead organizational and client specific change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions during the transformation process. Develop and execute change management strategies that promote employee engagement and adoption of new processes and technologies. Communicate the vision and benefits of transformation initiatives to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Process Improvement: Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Implement process optimization strategies that enhance productivity, reduce costs and improve service delivery. Leverage data and analytics to drive decision-making and monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes. Technology and Service Integration: Oversee the integration of new technologies and digital solutions that support the transformation objectives. Leads service transformation strategies to improve customer engagement and satisfaction. Work with IT and other departments to ensure technology initiatives are aligned with business needs and are effectively implemented. Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation. Project Management: Lead and manage multiple transformation projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. Establish project governance, including defining roles, responsibilities and reporting structures. Monitor project progress, manage risks and resolve issues to ensure successful project delivery. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and employees. Facilitate collaboration across departments to ensure alignment and support for transformation initiatives. Serve as the primary point of contact for transformation-related inquiries and communications. Financial Management: Develop and manage the budget for business transformation initiatives. Monitor financial performance and ensure that transformation projects deliver expected ROI. Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships, to support transformation efforts. Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing business transformation team, including hiring, training, and mentoring staff. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all transformation initiatives. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (MBA or other advanced degree preferred). Minimum of 10 years of experience in business transformation, management consulting, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Previous history solutioning for complex business challenges for Medicare Advantage and/or Medicare Prescription Drug health plans Strong verbal communicator with a history of delivery convincing sales and solutions presentations to business to business customers. Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation initiatives in a complex, fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools. Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Advanced level PowerPoint skills Deep understanding of business processes, operational excellence, and technology integration. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a dynamic environment. PREFERRED SKILLS: Experience in digital transformation and technology integration in a software and BPO services business Demonstrated operational know how or competencies. Knowledge of industry-specific trends and challenges. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or change management (e.g., PROSCI). Experience working in a global or multi-national organization.
