A Snapshot of Your Day

The Training Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs for production employees. This role focuses on enhancing employee skills, ensuring quality standards, and fostering continuous improvement through Kaizen events and 5S coordination. The Training Specialist will review quality issues, provide necessary retraining, and promote a culture of excellence and efficiency within the Operations team.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Training and Development:

Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new and existing production employees. Create training materials, manuals, and documentation to support learning objectives. Conduct hands-on training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

Quality Review and Retraining:

Monitor and review quality issues reported in the production process. Analyze root causes of quality defects and implement corrective actions. Provide targeted retraining to employees to address specific quality concerns and prevent recurrence.

Kaizen Events:

Plan, organize, and lead Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Facilitate cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and develop solutions. Track and report on the outcomes of Kaizen events, ensuring sustained improvements.

5S Coordination:

Serve as the 5S coordinator, promoting and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workplace. Conduct regular 5S audits and provide feedback to ensure compliance with 5S principles. Train employees on 5S methodologies and best practices.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of training activities, employee progress, and quality improvement efforts. Prepare and present reports on training effectiveness, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with production supervisors, quality assurance, and other departments to align training with operational goals. Communicate effectively with employees at all levels to foster a culture of learning and improvement.

What You Bring

Bachelors degree required.

8 years’ experience in manufacturing and/or Training environment required.

Strong knowledge of quality control processes, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and training software.
