This is a Job Description for Quality Engineer — SCQM (Supply Chain Quality Manager in Columbus, Mississippi

Summary: On the eastern border of Mississippi youll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. Its here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Duties & Responsibilities: You will be the focal point towards the suppliers for operational activities and contract management, and an ambassador of the supplier toward internal functions. You need to be able to manage the supply chain & quality aspects of the contract, being responsible for on-time, on-quality (and on-cost, when applicable) performance. Assessing the suppliers capacity, capability, and performance; and contributing to the suppliers development is a key element. We also need someone who has a comprehensive understanding of working with customer (internal/external) demands being manifested in various forms of communication (Service Letter Agreement, meetings, conference call, e-mails) and utilizing these through the CI process

Requirements

: Bachelors degree in aerospace, Aviation, or Engineering, or equivalent experience. Masters degree in aerospace engineering or related field, preferred. Minimum five (5) years of technical experience in the field of Quality, Supply Chain or Engineering. Experience in Root Cause Analysis E.g. Practical Problem Solving or similar 8D type tools. AS9100 Auditor or equivalent training. Team working mindset
