POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The Commercial Banking Officer is responsible for calling on business banking clients for depository, lending, and fee-based opportunities in the Banks market. This position will have C&I, Commercial Real Estate and Depository production and growth goals. Targeted clients will be operating companies with $1 million to $10 million and higher in annual revenue.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 years banking experience with at least 1 year of direct business lending experience required.
Demonstrates proficient knowledge and ability in underwriting business loans involving commercial real estate, accounts receivable, inventory, and equipment required.
Previous experience with working capital lines of credit and letters of credit required.
Previous experience working with the Small Business Administration and their various loan programs required.
Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office products and internet applications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primarily focused on new business development by sourcing, developing, and documenting calls on prospective customers and referral sources.
Manage commercial banking relationships, including analyzing business financials, having a detailed understanding of the business and their income statement and balance sheet.
Negotiate and structure new loan terms and manage renewal opportunities.
Work closely with Treasury Management to identify and structure depository opportunities.
Management of portfolio delinquencies within assigned and/or developed portfolio.
Work closely with associates with Merchant Services and Credit Card to develop opportunities.
Be involved in the community through volunteerism on civic and non-profit boards.
Support the collection of past due loans.
Obtain annual financial statements for commercial credit analysts evaluation.
Respond to referrals from Senior Management of the Bank, and the company and others.
Maintain and enhance the relationships with the Banks customers and referral sources.
Responsible for cross selling all company products and services.
Learn the credit culture of Republic Bank in order to present appropriate credits for approval.
Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.

Travel between Republic Banking facilities and client locations required
Occasional out-of-town travel is required.
Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings and weekends.
Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
