Customs Reconciliation and Post Entry Specialist
Tradewin is a leading international customs and trade compliance consulting firm. We provide advice and services that help companies maintain compliance with import and export laws and regulations. We also help clients find and implement opportunities to reduce costs, improve cycle times, minimize customs duties and enhance the visibility and security of their supply chains. The complex issues that international companies need to address both before and after cargo physically moves are our specialty. Our employees help our customers derive the correct HTS classification of their goods, save on customs duty using programs like duty drawback and free trade agreements, and amend the value of their customs entries through the reconciliation prototype program.
We are looking for a highly motivated person who enjoys a fast-paced, professional & dynamic work environment to fill this full-time position for an Entry to Mid-Level consultant. This is an office-based role that will support colleagues and team members locally and across the Tradewin network.
Qualifications:
Proven excellence in communication skills – both verbal and written
Ability to research complex regulatory subjects independently and in conjunction with peers
Strong technical and persuasive writing skills.
Some college level Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics preferred
Ability to work within environment of demanding deadlines
Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications
Comfort with reviewing, manipulating, and auditing data in Excel or Access
Must be flexible and able adapt to rapidly changing workloads and competing prioritizations
Superior planning and organizational skills, must be able to multi-task and be a self-starter
Previous experience with Trade Compliance, Customs Brokerage, Post Entry submission and/or Customs Reconciliation Entry process preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships with clients through proactive email and verbal communications
Research, Compile and prepare regulatory document(s) as required by US Customs and Border Protection to support the Reconciliation and Post Entry filing processes using Excel, Word, Acrobat.
Use of ACE data, including working directly in ACE to run, create, or review reports, or as may be provided by clients.
Attend required training sessions to learn more about potential regulatory changes that affect daily tasks
Attend required training sessions to learn about Tradewin processes, procedures, systems, and record keeping requirements
Prepare Post Entry submissions including, Post Summary Corrections, Protests, Prior Disclosures, Reconciliations, as may be assigned
Independently research, analyze and interpret complex procedures or regulations and write technically relevant correspondence and procedural documents that will have internal and/or external audience.
Conducting spreadsheet analysis to validate duty and fees calculations
Team collaboration and brainstorming to enhance client experience and suggest efficiencies.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Design, develop and deploy programs based upon best-in-class trade and regulatory consulting
Development of relationships across borders and driving network engagements
Collaborate in the design of the programs with Principals and GMs for what is best for the Tradewin network
Develop, implement and improve Business Review cycles for key accounts
Ensure continued profitability of our TradeDesks and strategic programs
Build, develop, and mentor the staff
Work to design product offerings that provide value to our customers
Develop reports, presentations and other deliverables relate to projects. Assist with project coordination including managing deadlines and time costs, coordinate with other team members globally and performing internal checks
Prepare, execute, monitor and update at regular intervals the business plan for the program
Instill and foster a climate of compliance at all times to regulation, including internal policies & procedures such as; external government regulation, or customer policies/requirements/SOWs
Ensure processes/procedures are in place to be followed through peer review, file audits and classification sampling
Be the leader in driving revenue and controlling costs within the program
Ensure the program adapts to the changing regulatory landscape
