Walbridge has a dynamic opportunity for a Business Development Director to lead the business development activities, including planning and strategy, for our Higher Education & Healthcare market’s current and prospective clients. The BD Director will lead proposal development, deliver presentations and partner with the leadership team and estimating throughout the sales process to final close.
This is an excellent opportunity for a business development executive to leverage all the resources of ENR Top 25 and have a significant impact in the growth of Walbridge and in the building of marquee projects in the region.

Responsibilities
Prioritize market strategies, develop acquisition plans and take the leadership role in pursuing targeted opportunities to closure.
Partner with marketing and operational teams to prepare qualifications packages, proposal packages and presentations. Point person on ensuring activities are being completed timely ensuring best chances for selection/award.
Work with General Manager to identify Target ‘A’ pursuits.
Prepare Sales Planning Templates for applicable opportunities and lead Sales Strategy meetings for all opportunities.
Actively participate and contribute to weekly Leadership Group and Sales meetings.
Develop a thorough knowledge of the Higher Education and Healthcare market including design relationships, knowledge of opportunities, competition, client decision makers, etc., as necessary to optimize our advantage of securing new work/ sales.
Develop strong relationships with EDC Groups, Client Groups, Design Firms, Consultant Groups, Key Subcontractors and other parties specifically related to the Market segments and future market expansions.
Ensure Walbridge BD processes are followed and documented.
Executive oversight of accuracy of information entered into Walbridge’s CRM (Client Relationship Management) software.
Represent the company at tradeshows, meetings, conferences, and industry events.
Support project team and maintain a pulse on client after the sale.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum of Ten years related business development/and or construction related experience.
Advanced knowledge of general business and company procedures.
Experience in developing a pursuit strategy based on individual client or market segment needs.
Experience in implementing a pursuit strategy and managing multiple resources in its execution.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times is critical.
