Description

The Electrical Panel Assembler assembles or modifies electrical or electronic equipment, such as machines, sub-assemblies, and electronic motors.

Essential Functions

Performs typical production shop operations to support the production department

Reads and interprets schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions

Assembles electrical or electronic systems or support structures and installs components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment.

Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.

Explains assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.

Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments.

Confers with lead and/or manager to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems.

Inspects or tests wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits for resistance factors or for operation and record results.

Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified.

Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED

3 to 5 years of electrical assembly experience

Preferred Education or Experience

· Safety Training

Pay Range:

Pay Range $42,250.00 – $76,375.00
