Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Assist with hands-on physical labor, operate machinery, and follow all site health and safety regulations.

• Perform heavy lifting, work in confined spaces, at tall heights, and various weather conditions.

• Complete a wide variety of tasks as assigned.

• May be assigned to a specific job after the training period.

• May cover different positions if necessary at any time.

• Shovel sand, pulp, beets, etc., and use a wheelbarrow to transport material.

• Perform numerous cleaning activities using hot water or pressure washers.

• Climb stairs and ladders, work on catwalks around equipment.

• Bend, stoop, and twist to reach areas for cleaning, shoveling, or other assigned tasks.

• Walk for extended periods.

• Exposure to high and low temperatures throughout the factory and various weather conditions.

• Operate hand or power tools.

This is a permanent position.

Union shop- Direct Placement position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Sebewaing, Michigan.

Pay: $19.57 per hour.

After 30 days, become part of the union.

Shifts: NEED TO BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL-

1st – 7am-3pm

2nd – 3pm-11pm

3rd – 11pm-7am.

Swing shift schedule will be provided.

8 hours of overtime required once every 4 weeks, with mandatory stay-over
