Fairview Range is hiring a Laboratory Care Technician (Phlebotomist) for Lab Department at our Mesaba Clinic in Hibbing, MN .

As a phlebotomist you will perform laboratory specimen collection and waived testing (Point of Care) across the Mesaba Clinics in Hibbing, Nashwauk, and Mt. Iron. Primary location will be in Hibbing. The Phlebotomist has an important role in maintaining quality, proficiency, and professionalism with the Laboratorys service for patients and other customers.

Schedule: This position will work 72 to 80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the day shift. Weekends: As needed

The clinic lab in Hibbing is a fast-paced laboratory supporting over 55 providers. As a CLIA waived laboratory, we can provide convenient care for patients with the support of the nearby hospital lab. Some testing is performed on site, with other testing being routed to the hospital lab for processing.

As a Lab Care Technician, you are responsible for:

Collecting and processing adequate and accurate blood or urine specimens from adults, children, and infants according to established procedures.

Taking an active role in facilitating the team approach to function between the lab and the clients.

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, including adequate supplies.

Participating in a variety of hospital-sponsored programs, seminars, and self-development activities.

Required Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification as a Phlebotomist preferred.

Phlebotomy experience in a clinical laboratory desired.

Completion of a Phlebotomy Course desired.
