The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Market Access Manager within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Cardiometabolic (ARDx- CM) business.
Our rapid diagnostics solutions are helping address some of the world’s greatest healthcare challenges.
The scope of this position includes deploying a comprehensive reimbursement and access strategy for the Cardiometabolic (CM) portfolio in the US which includes the leading the point-of-care (POC) Afinion platform . This is a remote role that will be based near a major US airport.
What You’ll Work On
The Market Access Manager will be responsible for executing on the broader reimbursement strategy by developing regional/local reimbursement and market access initiatives in conjunction with KOLs, payors and the field sales team.
CM products are currently utilized across market segments: health systems, individual hospital and physician office, urgent care, retail health with pharmacy emerging as potential site of testing. This individual will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and field resource on reimbursement related activities.
In addition:
Engage directly with payors to effectively communicate the value of CM portfolio to secure favorable reimbursement policy decisions.
Support field team in identifying clinician advocates (KOLs) to support and further CM initiatives impacting payors, associations and government policy.
Develop regional Market Access reimbursement strategy by key product areas by analyzing data from varied sources to inform comprehensive strategy and to build organizational alignment.
Execute on payor advocacy efforts in coordination with local/regional ARDx and CM cross-functional and Abbott cross-divisional teams. Participate in third party support initiatives with established companies and organizations including CodeMap, leading outside reimbursement law firms, and industry coalition advocating the value of point-of-care (POC) testing.
Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with local sales organizations (Regional Directors) to align on deliverables and needs for the markets for both current and future products.
Contribute to the broader CM organization as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the US reimbursement landscape across the broad continuum of sites of care.
Field based position requires someone that collaborates well cross-functionally. Position will require frequent travel.
Required Qualifications
Seven or more years of relevant industry experience.
Demonstrated understanding of the varied payment models utilized at the sites of care for the CM portfolio.
Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to create and deliver professional, and impactful presentations.
Strong multi-tasking and project management skills needed.
Demonstrates understanding of the applicable industry regulations and quality management systems including approved product labeling.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Up to 50% Travel is required to client sites and or industry events. You must be located near an airport in the Continental US.
Preferred Qualifications
History in point-of-care (POC) diagnostics strongly preferred.
Past experience in similar roles and responsibilities.

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
