Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst, Alliance Accounting, partners closely with the companys organizational finance teams to administer a portfolio of in-bound and out-bound licensing arrangements. Such organizations primarily include the Commercial and Aesthetics finance teams but may also include Operations and Corporate. The role is highly visible as it executes the activities necessary to administer these arrangements with external licensors/licensees and works cross-functionally with Alliance Management, Legal, Treasury and Tax COE as needed to support day-to-day operations and ad-hoc requests.
Responsibilities
Performs month-end close activities to ensure global royalty income and expense are properly recorded including P&L review, variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assists in the preparation of Alliance Accounting’s quarterly balance sheet review materials.
Prepares global royalty rate and royalty expense analyses to support the Commercial planning process for global royalty expense across all planning cycles (Plan/Update/LBE/LRP).
Collaborates with cross-functional teams as such as Alliance Management, Legal, Treasury and Tax COE to ensure licensing arrangements are appropriately implemented and administered in accordance with their terms and conditions.
Operates independently to prepare periodic licensor reporting packages for royalty payments ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with the terms and conditions of the licensing arrangement. Additionally, prepares milestone payment packages as needed to facilitate internal approvals.
Ensures timely collection of royalty receivables and serve as the primary point of contact.
Compiles supporting documentation and analyses to assess in-bound royalties received.
Operates with a continuous improvement mindset and identify and implement solutions to optimize owned processes to drive speed, agility, and financial insights.
Coordinates with company’s internal and external auditors and Tax COE for audit and accounting-related requirements as well as supporting company-initiated or licensor-initiated audits of licensing arrangements.
Performs ad hoc financial reporting and analysis and leading special projects or initiatives, as assigned, which vary based on company’s business transactions and priorities.
Qualifications
Qualifications
List required and preferred qualifications (up to 10). Include education, skills and experience.
Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required.
Preferred 4 years of progressive and related experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
Ability to work well as part of a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, with ability to work independently.
Ability to take initiative and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Solid understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Proficient Excel skills required.
Knowledge of SAP and BPC a plus.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.

Salary: $80,500 – $153,000
