Job Title: Project Observer
Job Description
Will perform all phases of field assignments at US Postal Warehouse in Forest Park or other job sites in the Chicagoland area/25% travel
Will interpret specifications, work with drawings and mark up with Bluebeam, and convey intent to the contractor
Will be responsible for all aspects of field inspection, testing, testing coordination, sampling, equipment, and equipment maintenance on assigned project
Will obtain and record field data, in a legible and organized fashion; as required by the plans, specifications, or project staff
Will generate and compile field reports
Will work with project staff on design changes
Will communicate with all entities keeping everyone fully informed
Will record daily installed construction quantities to review payment requests in terms of progress and amount completed to date
Qualifications:
Must have 3 Years of Construction Observation, Field Surveying, or Building Surveying experience
Must be post-graduate experience
Project Experience with industrial, government/federal, distribution, or commercial projects
Ability to use mobile devices for communications and record keeping
Ability to observe and report, take pictures, and create a field report each day.
Needs to be a self-starter and require little direction
Must be immediately local

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

This is a fully on-site position in Forest Park, IL
Work Environment
On site of project with 25% travel to Chicagoland projects
