An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a ISC Production Supervisor at Honeywells Performance Materials and Technologies manufacturing facility located in Metropolis, IL. The Metropolis Works manufactures Uranium hexafluoride (UF6) for nuclear fuel. Metropolis is located at the southern tip of the state of Illinois on the Ohio River across from Paducah, Kentucky.
As an ISC Production Supervisor here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our production facility in Metropolis, IL. You will be responsible for ensuring that the production processes are efficient, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards. Your duties will involve supervising production teams, implementing quality control measures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise and leadership will contribute to the success and growth of our organization. In this role, you will impact production processes, improve operational efficiency, ensure product quality, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in achieving production targets, reducing costs, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead shift production process areas through activities of operators in operational and utility areas
Supervising and coaching union hourly personnel – engaging hourly personnel in problem solving and continuous improvement
Complying with SOPs, maintaining standard work
Determining maintenance needs and creating notifications
Reporting process deviations/issues to production management and engineering
Tracking raw material inventories
Tracking and communicating production goals (AOP, etc.) to hourly personnel
Provide and promote a safe, environmentally sound work environment
Issuing, verifying, and signing special work permits, confined space entry permits, lock-out permits and line break permits
Fulfilling Emergency Response Team (ERT) roles
Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, nuclear regulations and MTW procedures
Investigating incidents – health, safety, environmental, and process
Ensuring compliance with Honeywell Corporate and MTW policies
Maintaining housekeeping and driving workplace organization in assigned areas
Conducting elements of Honeywell Structured Safety Process
Assist in operator training to enable top performance
Monitoring training for hourly personnel, as required (OJT, TPE, etc.)
Coordinates proper manning levels to ensure stable operations
Approving and scheduling overtime
Ensuring compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement
Communicates status of area operations and performance
Communicates plant announcements/information to hourly personnel (ie. postings, meetings, etc.)

YOU MUST HAVE
Proven experience of 3 years in a supervisory role in production or manufacturing
Strong knowledge of production processes and quality control measures
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions
WE VALUE
Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Strong commitment to safety and compliance
