Role:To assist the Credit Union in achieving its Service Mission to deliver Total Member Delight in each and every service interaction with both internal and external members. A key component of this external service is to identify the financial needs of each member and recommend an effective credit union product solution. In addition, to direct the operations of a medium-sized, remote Credit Union facility, ensuring the branch meets organizational, financial, service and growth plans. Maintain Level II lending authority.Responsibilities:-Coach, direct, develop, motivate, hire and discipline branch personnel; administer performance evaluations and recommend appropriate personnel actions.-Monitor branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensure that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.-Maintain communications with main office; prepare and submit standard reports; attend scheduled management meetings; conduct monthly staff meetings.-Represent the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organization(s), suppliers, other financial institutions and similar groups.-Monitor all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.-As needed, underwrite consumer loans up to the amount assigned per credit union policy; review and approve underwriting decisions of subordinate personnel.-Perform other related duties as assigned.Knowledge & Skills:Experience: Three to five years of similar or related experience.Education: (1) A two year college degree, or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.Interpersonal Skills:A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others.
