This is a Hybrid Role with the Flexibility to work both home and in the office from our Baltimore Office.

Pension and other retirement plans have enormous financial implications for employers. Actuaries within Retirement Consulting work directly with our clients’ management teams to assess the short and long-term costs associated with these commitments.
Job Responsibilities:
Defined Benefits Analysts within our Wealth practice Consulting have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that support our clients and internal client teams. These projects include:
Review, analysis, and reconciliation of participant data
Assistance with complex benefit calculations and participant benefit statements
Complex analysis of retirement benefits and account balances
Interaction with plan participants via phone and/or email to address basic questions related to benefits
Other projects that may require analysis of large volumes of participant records and/or benefit calculations
As needed, assistance with small/mid-size pension and retiree welfare plan valuations using standardized processes with oversight from senior team members
Candidates are expected to have the following qualifications and/or experience:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent industry experience
4 years of relevant experience
Outstanding attention to detail
Excellent time and project management – able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Independent learner of technical topics and concepts; willingness to take ownership of projects and client deliverables
Seeks and shares ideas for continuous improvement of processes and procedures
Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $53,000 to $71,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of State/Region. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
