Overview

Lead Project Control Specialist (VLIBOPS-2024-21759):

Bowhead seeks a Lead Project Control Specialist to join our team in Dahlgren, VA. The Lead Project Control Specialists sets up, operates, and monitors, computer systems and devices for acquisition and analysis of data, utilizing knowledge in the operation of computer systems.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

Supervision of Data Management Specialists.

Management of computer media via automated processing systems to ensure the accurate and timely disposition of deliveries as well as associated processes in support of shipments bound for or received from fleet support activities.

Respond to data processing problems or corrective procedures, refers problems that do not have pre-planned procedures, and works under general supervision of the higher-level Data Management Specialists.

Generic office organizational skills, general knowledge of Combat Systems shipboard library organization and requirements, basic understanding of Navy library CM concepts and tools which could include ACCESS, and willing to train energetic team members.

Qualifications

Requires at least one (3) year of experience managing, shipping, and/or receiving classified and unclassified materials using DoD transmittal processes.

Two (2) years of experience supervising personnel performing the above work.

High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree desired but not required.

Experience troubleshooting and resolving media errors and data processing problems.

Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.

Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Valid driver license.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds

Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
