Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the Headquarters Service Battalion (HQSVCBN), S-4 DivisionHeadquarters Service Battalion (HQSVCBN), S-4 Division of MARFORCOM NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will handle emergent or emergency work requests that are time sensitive due to health, safety or impact the capability of the Command to accomplish its mission. You will be responsible for increasing the effectiveness of organizational elements by redistributing the workload among employees and implementing procedures designed to enhance organizational effectiveness. You will plan, direct, manage, supervise and coordinate new facilities to include design and construction oversight, upkeep of existing facilities, ground maintenance, and inspection of all work performed. You will ensure the health, safety, and comfort of tenant occupants, and identify potential and or actual maintenance problems and requirements. You will develop long-range and annual work plans for capital improvement and provide a quarterly list of projects to be executed for the upcoming quarter and accomplished projects. You will forecast and program expenditures for maintenance, repair projects, work requests and provide all necessary information to produce the annual budget. You will plan, assign, and review the work of subordinates, which includes establishing priorities, scheduling completion of work, evaluating performance and providing feedback. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Oversee and manage the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities ensuring the satisfactory and timely completion of work performed, and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study — engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration.
