Location: Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital – Charleston, SC
Shift: As needed weekends 8:00am-5:00pm
Job Summary: To ensure smooth operation of Department, provides staff support assistance with patient care by preparing patients and equipment for treatment; assists therapist with patient care within the boundaries of training and as directed by the therapist.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school education/equivalent. Successful completion of Department specific competencies.
Experience: None
Licensure/Certification: None required.

Knowledge/Skills: Requires the ability to work well with all levels of patients, the public and other health care professionals. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed to ensure the efficient running of the Department.
Other: Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of all work related and sensitive information.
Contacts: Constant interaction with internal and external customers to include (but not limited to) patients, families, physicians, employees and visitors.
Work Demand/Environment:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping. Frequent lifting/moving patients. Intermittent lifting, moving or carrying, pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs. Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity. Constant reaching with hands/arms. Frequent talking or hearing. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue. Possible exposure to infectious materials, communicable diseases and/or other conditions common to a healthcare environment. Intermittent exposure to risk of exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Moderate noise level in work area. Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours. May be required to take call and/or work weekends/holidays based on the needs of the department.
