Material Coordinator

Description

SAIC is seeking a Material Coordinator for our customer site in Hanahan, SC .

Job Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to)

Will be primarily tasked with preparing and arranging materials for transfer between projects.

Provide assistance loading and unloading delivery trucks.

Will be required to obtain a forklift license

Provide assistance verifying materials against receiving documents , reporting and noting discrepancies and obvious damages .

Preparing materials for shipment.

Communicate with leadership, other team members, and the customer.

Picking up and Delivering material using a pickup truck and box truck.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED

Current SC Driver’s License

Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Must be willing to Drive and operate up to a 26 Box Truck

Must be able to safely complete all the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment , including but not limited to the following:

-Lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 50 lbs, on a regular basis

-Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, or squatting for extended periods.

-A familiarity with material handling tools such as shrink wrap machines, pallet jacks, tape guns, power drills, ect.

-Familiarity with using a computer and basic program like word and excel.

Attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
