Payroll Coordinator Hybrid Work ScheduleBuffalo, NY  Merchants Insurance Group is a leading Property and Casualty Insurer in the Northeast and is looking for an experienced Payroll Coordinator for our Human Resources team located in Buffalo, NY. The Payroll Coordinator will become part of a dedicated Human Resources team focusing on the accurate recording and distribution of wages through Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) payroll software. Assists the Human Resources team with a wide variety of administrative tasks. The Hybrid work schedule requires 8 full days per month in the office, with the option to work the remaining days at home or in the office. This exciting Hybrid Work benefit offers colleagues a flexible work schedule with the ability to remain connected with their Merchants team and colleagues.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:         Receives and verifies all employee status changes, time sheets and time records for payroll processing on a bi-weekly basis.         Ensures proper submission of time sheets by working with managers on corrections and submissions.        Bi-weekly payroll processing includes but not limited to new hire and termination information, rate changes, standard overtime/overtime and exception hours, 401(k) elections/loans, insurance deductions, garnishments, and employment/mortgage verifications. Inputs special payments such as bonuses into the payroll system.        Assists Human Resources department with a variety of tasks including the maintenance of employee files. Qualifications & Skills:        Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent work-related experience.         Certified Payroll Professional designation helpful         2 3 years payroll experience.        1 2 years previous Human Resource experience.        UKG or other payroll and reporting platform required.         Good mathematical aptitude.        Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency.        Organizational, written and verbal communication skills.  <p class=”ql-al
