Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance the Technician, Electrical and Instrumentation will act as an integral member of the Nutrien Kennewick team. The successful candidate for this role will maintain a high degree of integrity and ownership while understanding and complying with Nutriens high level of standards, policies and procedures.
What you will do:
Perform all work in a safe and controlled manner, adhering to safety and environmental policies
Perform daily maintenance on various types of electrical and instrumentation equipment including electrical distribution systems, 3 phase motor, PLCs, pneumatic controllers, and valve positioners
Performdaily and routine preventative maintenance (PMs) on equipment
Troubleshoot and analyze instrument and electrical systems with voltages up to 18K volts
Respond to plant/process upsets and take appropriate action to address issues
Provide electrical and instrumentation project support to implement planned outages, MOCs, PHAs, and capital projects
Use computer tools to record failures, document repairs and document plant equipment history
Work closely with contractors, vendors and internal departments
Be able to perform in a high-performance culture
Work as a productive team member and support continuous improvement
Cross-training and working in all areas of the facility as required
Performing work from elevated structures, ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and man-baskets
Bewilling to work overtime as required
What you will bring:
Possess a minimum of 2 years education at a vocational/technical school in the electrical or instrumentation field, or 2 yearsof experience
Strong working knowledge of electronic and pneumatic controllers and valve positioners
Working knowledge of all types of instrument and electrical test equipment
Experience with DeltaV and Yokogawa controls is considered an asset
Thorough understanding of maintenance practices and processes
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities
Experience operating mobile equipment, including forklifts, man lifts, carry deck cranes, etc.
Be willing and able to enhance personal skills through training both on and off-site
Compensation & Benefits:
The wage for this role is $34.59 per hour.This wage is estimated fora Technician, Electrical & Instrumentationaccording toWashingtons Pay Transparency Law. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
