Utility Coordinator I:Coordinates and performs technical work related to new utility installations and state and/or federally funded utility adjustments and relocations. Work requires contact with private entities and governmental agencies. Employees at this level follow standard practices that do not require frequent supervision of details.Utility Coordinator II:Coordinates and performs technical work related to new utility installations and state and/or federally funded utility adjustments and relocations. Work requires contact with private entities and governmental agencies. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.Essential Duties:Utility Coordinator I:Monitors the installation/removal, adjustment or relocation of utilities.Assists with review and processing of new utility installation permitsAssists with providing updates on current projects for progress and pending projects for planning and portfolio management purposes; consults and advises personnel in policies and procedures.Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.Utility Coordinator II:Reviews current projects for progress and pending projects for planning purposes; advises and trains others on policies and procedures.Assists in reviewing and processing new utility installation permits.Implements and interprets Department policies and procedures as they relate to utility adjustments, relocations, negotiations, reimbursements and compliance with applicable state and federal laws.Monitors the installation/removal, adjustment or relocation of utilities.Assists with reviewing current projects for progress and pending projects for planning purposes.Provides updates on current projects for progress and pending projects for planning and portfolio management purposes; consults and advises personnel in policies and procedures.Enters and maintains the electronic documentation and data in TxDOT systems are accurate and up-to-date.Assists with developing, maintaining, and updating utility relocation schedules.Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
