CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota – Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. CHI St. Alexius Health offers a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including: a Level II Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, home health and hospice services, durable medical equipment services, a fitness and human performance center and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota.

Responsibilities

CHI Minot Clinic is looking for a PRN CNA to join the team

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) plays a key role in the delivery of patient care. The CNA implements individual patient care in the clinic according to established practice protocols, policies and procedures. The CNA assists physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in clinical duties to ensure patients and families receive the highest quality care and knowledge promoting patient wellness. The CAN will practice nursing in accordance with the North Dakota Nurse Practice Act and the limitations of their scope of practice

What Youll Do:

Adheres to and acts as a role model through support of CHI St. Alexius Health mission, values, and Journey Beyond Excellence expectations to foster a compassionate, healing environment providing physiological, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and visitors.

Assures quality of care by adhering to CHI St. Alexius Health policies, philosophies and standards of care regulated by ND State Board of Nursing, the ND nurse practice act, and or other governing agency regulations.

Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.

Utilizes the nursing process to assist in implementing the plan of care for the patient/family which promotes optimal patient outcomes.

Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport, participating in team problem-solving methods.

Successfully completes the defined job specific competencies, including competency for age specifics, department goals and objectives per performance appraisal.

Obtains and records required patient information in electronic medical record to include but not limited to vitals, height, weight, risk screening factors and medical history.

Assists providers, RNs and LPNs with patient related duties, chart preparation and clinical procedures.

Cleans and restocks clinical areas and exam rooms

Performs phlebotomy, CLIA waived laboratory testing/controls, resulting of tests, and preparation/sending of specimens for additional laboratory for testing.

Assist with observing for outdates and ordering of clinic supplies as needed for patient care.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Graduate of a Certified Nurse Assistant program

CNA in the State of North Dakota

Pay Range

$15 – $19.815 /hour
