Job Summary
This role is responsible for leading hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases of a software feature, solution, or product.
The role drives the orchestration of various technical projects and fosters innovation through effective leadership, communication, and technical acumen.
The role serves as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, driving the successful execution of technical projects that contribute to the organizations strategic objectives while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and best practices.
Responsibilities
Plays a critical role in the planning and execution of the organizations most complex and visible technical projects or programs in support of the continuing evolution of the organizations software products.
Partners across functions to prioritize, plan, track and execute complex, cross-organizational programs while maintaining focus on building high-quality programs and ensuring adherence to privacy policies and data protection regulations.
Defines the overall vision, strategy, and roadmap to address the problems/opportunities in collaboration with product managers and engineers, incorporating privacy considerations into the project planning and execution.
Reaches across functions or departments to mitigate program risks and resolve issues that affect release, scope, schedule, and quality, with particular attention to privacy and data protection concerns.
Drives and tracks software releases, features and bug fixes, testing, and documentation, ensuring that privacy requirements are integrated and validated throughout the development lifecycle.
Engages with executive leadership and other stakeholders to provide updates, gather requirements, and manage expectations, including addressing privacy-related aspects and compliance.
Allocates resources, including personnel and budgets, to ensure project teams have the necessary support to achieve objectives while maintaining privacy and data protection standards.
Ensures that project deliverables meet established quality standards, privacy regulations, and are aligned with business and technical requirements.
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of privacy principles, concepts, and regulations relevant to the software and technology domain.
Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services with a focus on privacy and data protection.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 10 years of work experience, preferably in program/project management, scrum master, professional technology organization, or a related field, with demonstrated experience in managing privacy and data protection aspects in technical projects.

Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or equivalent privacy certification is a plus

The base pay range for this role is $137,000.00 to $211,000.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
