Starting salary for this position is: $4,517 (Monthly)
This Early Childhood Education & Assistance Program (ECEAP) position will receive salary step advancement after 12 months and every 12 months thereafter until the top of the salary range is reached. Each salary step advancement will be approximately a 5% increase in salary.

About the ECEAP Child Care Supervisor – Early Childhood Program Specialist 4 – Head Start

Under the direction of the Center Manager, the Child Care Supervisor is responsible for Head Start/Early Childhood Education & Assistance Program/Early Head Start (HS/ECEAP/EHS) program operations located at Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC) Early Learning Center.

This position is accountable for compliance with federal laws and regulations, Head Start Performance Standards, ECEAP Performance Standards, Washington State Law, Washington Administrative Code, policies and guidelines from the federally mandated Parent Policy Council and policies/procedures and guidelines established by the Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS).

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in supervising the day-to-day childcare operations at SFCC HS/ECEAP/EHS ensuring a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate learning environment is maintained.

Responsible for the implementation of customer friendly and quality services provided at the site. Fulfill program operating policies, activities and education curriculum as required. Ensure program and staff conform to federal, state, and local rules, regulations, accreditation, and state licensing requirements.

Supervise (train, schedule, evaluate, discipline) classified part-time hourly and work-study employees, adhering to collective bargaining agreements and all district rules and regulations ensuring all essential services are provided effectively. Onboard, schedule and monitor work tasks for site volunteers and practicum students.

Inform and educate staff regarding behavior and performance expectations, provide timely and accurate feedback regarding performance, and ensure performance and behavioral problems are corrected promptly and effectively.
