This position is for a (Systems Engineer) located in Flowood, MS.

Summary: The Systems Engineer will have a unique opportunity to design and implement cutting-edge public safety communication solutions for Motorolas ASTRO 25 and adjacent technologies for State and Local government agencies. This role is ideal for Engineers energized by the prospect of delivering solutions that truly make a difference.

Duties and Responsibilities:  Design and implement radio networks, including infrastructure, subscribers, mobile backhaul, and WAN/LAN networks. A high level of customer and consultant interaction, including customer design reviews, customer-witnessed staging, acceptance testing events, coverage acceptance testing, live system upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts. System build-out, configuration, and acceptance testing will be conducted in lab staging and field environments. Radio coverage testing, frequency analysis, and interference mitigation. Complete system documentation. Live system cutovers and upgrades.

Job Specifications or Qualifications:  Knowledge of: Radio Frequency and Radio Frequency Distribution Engineering principles. Land Mobile Radio Engineering principles P25 Land Mobile Radio familiarity. Servers and related systems, including VMware ESXi, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems. Experience with networking components. Specific experience with Fortinet, Nokia, Juniper, and HP/Aruba switches. Knowledge of point-to-point Microwave systems and design. Knowledge and experience with networking and the OSI reference model. Certifications a plus through CompTIA Network, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar. Works collaboratively and cultivates relationships with colleagues, clients, and third-party service professionals. Self-motivated with good written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
