The Princess Summer Internship Program is a 10-week paid summer internship opportunity designed to provide exposure and insight to professional careers in the amazing leisure travel, cruise industry. The selected interns will work on departmental projects as well as participate in professional development and enrichment activities.

2025 Program Dates (two options)

Program runs 10 weeks from June 9th – August 18th or June 16th – August 25th.

Eligibility

Eligible candidates are enrolled in a four-year accredited undergraduate program (where they are at least a rising junior) or in a graduate/Ph.D. program and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

MUST NOT be a graduating senior in the summer 2025.

Compensation

Undergraduate – $25.00 hr, Graduate – $35.00 hr, Ph.D. – $45.00 hr

Internship Project Details -

Deployment & Itinerary Planning is a unique opportunity to see how the deployments and itineraries of Princess come to life. Our team is responsible for the financial analysis and market review aiming to optimize the global positioning of our fleet of 17 ships worldwide. We’re often found researching new destinations around the world to continue to exceed guest expectations with our award-winning itineraries. This is a great opportunity to see behind the scenes in the cruise industry and help change peoples lives through incredible vacation experiences. In this position, you will be working on projects including Customer Satisfaction Analysis, Competitive Market Analysis and Itinerary Analysis.

Market Analysis and Reporting: Conduct detailed market research to understand global cruise industry trends. Analyze competitive deployments in various regions and prepare reports to inform strategic decisions.

Itinerary Performance Assessment: Evaluate the effectiveness of current itineraries across different regions. Analyze key performance indicators like net contribution and competitive positioning to recommend improvements.

Customer Feedback Analysis: Review customer and ship feedback. Identify patterns and insights related to customer satisfaction and experience. Identify opportunities for new research opportunities that will aid in future decision making related to deployment and itinerary planning.

New Destination Research: Research new destinations for inclusion in itineraries. Analyze potential destinations for feasibility, popularity, and alignment with brand values.

Special Projects: Engage in special projects as needed, which may include conducting ad hoc analyses and participating in cross-departmental initiatives.

Requirements

Proficiency using MS office Suite including Outlook & MS Teams

Ability to work independently, remotely and self-manage

Well organized and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and managers.

The types of duties the students will perform will vary and may require some technical tasks, projects and/or work that may require specific proficiencies, technical abilities and/or computer skills.

Majors Preferred

Master’s degree student

Skills Preferred

Well organized and accurate, able to multi-task – adaptability to quickly changing work gears as well as able to communicate effectively with colleagues and managers both verbally and written.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

Strong analytical mindset, capable of making abstract connections within data.

Interest in Geography and Analysis experience a plus
