The Role:

The Sifter Associate is responsible for multi-tasking while working on the 4 different sifters. The initial job will start with learning the different salts which run on 4 separate lines, salts range from white, pink, smoked and wet salts. Once these salts have been sifted they will need to be moved over to the WIP- work in progress, staging area.

What Youll Do:

Work with hanging, sorting, folding and moving 2200# salt totes in and out for sifting

Machine fill and label packaged salt totes to the required specifications (over/proper spec/unders)

Move the completed pallet to WIP staging area and over/unders to their WIP staging area

Ensure all orders are Complete, Accurate and On Time for the production optical sorter dept

Make adjustments on the fly on computer screens (Adjust timing, flow, screens, start and stop)

Ensure that your work area is clean and organized at all times. (Audit Ready)

Assemble, clean and break down equipment at beginning or end of shift

Adhere to Good Manufacturing Processes, Food Safety Standards and related operational procedures

Other projects and duties as assigned

What Were Looking For:

Demonstrate the willingness and ability to help other teams as needed.

Must exhibit excellent judgement and pay attention to detail when packaging/bagging all products

Must be a self-starter and finisher as you may have to work alone at times

Must be able to complete tasks on time to maintain the needs of the production schedule

Maintain a positive attitude and adjust to change quickly

Strong interpersonal skills focused on teamwork

Forklift and Electric pallet jack preferred but not required. (We will train in house)

Detail oriented, with a commitment to quality.

Manage time efficiently and effectively

2-3 years production or manufacturing experience preferred. (Food is a plus but not required)

Basic computer skills (word & excel)

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Ability to work an 8 – 9 hour shift M-F and flexible to work on Saturdays as needed

Ability to lift and stack 35 – 40 pound pallets throughout an 8-hour shift

Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs and bend for an 8-hour shift

Additional Information:

Pay Range: $18-$21 per hour. This is a non-exempt position.
