POSITION SUMMARY

Reports to the KCR Executive Director and is responsible for the successful direction and management of the Coordinated Entry and Supportive Housing Services Division. Serves as active member of KCR leadership team. Is responsible for planning, development and successful completion of the goals and objectives of the Division and how those goals and objectives work within the entire organization. Provides direction and guidance to a diverse team of direct service team leaders, social services and clerical staff. Establishes budgets, programing, personnel, and facilities plans Division. Responsible for developing and managing multiple grants within the division. Ensures that external customers are satisfied with the performance of the Division–(this includes the Board of Directors, Funders, and Community Partners).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

LEADERSHIP

Lead innovation of positive cultural change within department and across the organization

FINANCIAL

Manages Coordinated Entry and Supportive Housing Services Division budget through monitoring, forecasting and ensuring compliance.

Develop and oversee federal, state and local housing grants to include preparation of proposals, grant applications and supporting documents, by researching, identifying, developing and responding to public and private grant opportunities.

Collaborates with other divisions to reduce costs and expand services.

Ensures successful relationship with funders through compliance, reporting and cultivation of the funder relationship.

INTERNAL OPERATIONS

Achieves operational objectives by contributing to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.

Coordinates effectively with other KCR divisions.

Mobilizes and encourages team, establishing the specific (or concrete, day-to-day) plans, projects, and objectives needed.

Supervises program development, operation and evaluation.

Supervises and insures the training, orientation and evaluation of managers and employees.

Creates staff development plans.

Recognizes employee contributions and promotes a positive work environment and ensures employee morale.

EXTERNAL OPERATIONS

Promotes KCR and its mission and values to the community, coordinating with the Community Relations Unit.

Represents KCR to national, state and local governments as assigned.

Networks with external resource providers and participates in community organizations as assigned.

Participates in community organizations.

Accepts other duties as assigned by Executive Director.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Multi-Lingual preferred

Must have strong leadership, program development and management skills.

Budget development and monitoring.

Grant and/or contract writing and administration, preferably in the field of supportive housing.

Knowledge of Community Service Block Grant reporting preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to diverse audiences.

Working knowledge of MS Office programs at a proficient level.

Concern for and understanding of low-income or unhoused communities, personal lived experience a plus.

Occasional out-of-town travel and attendance at night meetings.

Industry-related software applications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

B.A. / B.S. in Human Services, business management or related field OR commensurate work experience.

4 years experience in demonstrated successful leadership/management.

Partnership building and community relations experience.

Government grant writing experience and contract management preferred.

Continuing education and/or certifications in related fields.

LICENSE(S) AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

Valid Washington State Drivers License.

Current auto liability insurance and reliable transportation.

Must be able to pass an FBI fingerprint background check and a Washington State Patrol criminal background check.

Requires intermittent sitting, walking, twisting, and bending.

Requires the cognitive ability to assess accuracy, communicate effectively and exercise judgment based on facts and data.
