Campus Police Officer

## Job Function

Under the direct supervision of the Chief of College Police, shall be responsible for the service, safety, and security of all College properties, faculty, staff, students, guests, and visitors during the assigned tour of duty.

## Job Responsibilities

– Prevention and suppression of crime
– Protection of life and property
– Development, implementation, and supervision of assigned areas of public safety

specialties

– Preservation of the peace
– Enforcement of state, local, and federal laws and College regulations
– Apprehension and prosecution of offenders
– Perform other related duties as assigned.

## Education

High School graduate or equivalent and current M.C.O.L.E.S. certification or the ability to be certified prior to hire. 

## Qualifications

One year in the public safety profession as a certified sworn police officer.
