About this role
Edwards/Kidde has an opportunity for an Associate Director, Material Planning & SIOP to manage the SIOP process for our brands and provide vision, leadership and direction to optimize our SIOP process.
Primary responsibilities include evaluate and develop the process, leading a set of monthly decision-making processes to balance demand and supply, to integrate demand planning, financial planning, capacity planning and supply planning, and to link high level strategic plans with day-to-day operations.
The Associate Director, Material Planning & SIOP is also responsible for ensuring that all parties are aware of the key business issues, reconciliation and recommendations developed, and kept informed of decisions made throughout the SIOP process.
This pivotal role ensures alignment across the Sales, Production, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to deliver customer satisfaction, optimize inventory, and enable financial predictability. The Associate Director, Material Planning & SIOP synchronizes all the processes and functions, ensuring a unified approach to managing our product supply and demand.
The Associate Director, Material Planning & SIOP is based in Bradenton FL on a hybrid work model and will include 10-20% traveling global and local.

Key Responsibilities
Function as the business leader and facilitator of the overall SIOP process
Facilitate regular SIOP meetings and ensure active participation from stakeholders; and monthly regional E-SIOP Reviews
Work cross-functionally to ensure that sales, operations, and inventory plans are aligned with financial growth objectives
Collaborate with regional marketing and sales teams to establish demand plans that are aligned to revenue plans
Responsible for converting demand plans to a long-term supply plan that takes into account capacity and material availability considerations.
Oversee the global capacity planning and long-term supply plans that meet customer requirements while optimizing plant efficiencies and inventory
Interact with the operations team to assess production capabilities and constraints
Identify and mitigate risks in the SIOP process through thorough analysis and proactive planning
Confirm that issues and imbalances, surfacing during the monthly cycle, are reviewed, resolved, or escalated
Lead discussions to review, resolve, or escalate issues in the most appropriate manner prior to the E-SIOP review
Ensure that key business issues are reconciled, recommendations proposed, and the information pack analyzed and prepared to effectively support the E-SIOP review
Guarantee full understanding of the significant financial implications of changes to the demand, supply, product, and project plans
Develop, implement, and optimize SIOP processes and tools
Define KPIs and regular reporting metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the SIOP process
Foster forward-looking capabilities across a 3–5-year horizon; ensure that the demand, capacity and commit capabilities will meet growth’s objectives
Evaluate the feasibility of the SIOP supply plan
Identify gaps/risks to the committed supply plan and scenarios to resolve
Make sure of a full alignment of Demand/Supply/Financial Plans
Supervise customer on-time delivery and “days on hand” inventory improvement
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
10 years of experience in Supply Chain, SIOP, Forecasting, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Materials Management, Master Planning, or Scheduling
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
MBA
Implement or lead SIOP processes in a manufacturing environment
Business acumen/knowledge, general management, and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams
Action-oriented, results-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
English verbal and written communication skills
Work independently, collaboratively, and effectively manage multiple projects
Project management skills and experience
Business acumen specific to Inventory, Revenue, Units, and Margin
