Nurse Practitioner Geriatric-Palliative Medicine 36 hrs Macomb Days

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care.

Takes patient history, performs physical examination, orders, and interprets tests, makes diagnoses, and institutes appropriate treatment programs.

Works in collaboration with staff physicians, house officers, nurses, and other medical care team members to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently.

Specific procedures are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Masters degree in nursing. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Certified Nurse Practitioner. Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS as required. Current ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department.
