This position is part of the Gene Reading Solutions Product Management Team managing the Archer Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) Product line located in Boulder, Colorado and will on-site. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Manage the sustainment and maintenance of NGS analysis software products, ensuring timely updates, bug fixes, and performance enhancements while providing business justification and anticipated return on investment. Own early development and prototyping requirements definition for customer-driven innovation activities.

Gather and analyze feedback from customers, support teams, and other stakeholders to identify trends, areas for improvement, and prioritize sustainment activities.

Identify opportunities to leverage existing analysis capabilities to solve custom problems in new or adjacent markets; create and maintain a sustainment roadmap that aligns with the companys strategic goals and addresses the evolving needs of the NGS market.

Drive execution technically and commercially in partnership with the assay product management team, software team, marketing team, and regional sales. Ensure comprehensive documentation of product changes, updates, and best practices to support internal teams and end-users.

Provide expert-level support for escalated customer issues, working to resolve complex technical challenges and ensure customer satisfaction. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for internal teams and customers to enhance understanding and effective use of NGS analysis software products.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Master’s degree in bioinformatics or related field

3 years of NGS bioinformatics development or support experience, and at least 2 in customer facing roles.

Ability to define new product features and enhancements based on user needs; own the transformation of RUO product definition and customer needs into software requirements (using Agile methodology) and lead the team in building solutions that meet these requirements.

An understanding of how to prioritize, organize, and manage the product backlog. Build epics, define stories and enhancements in Agile format using Jira boards/tickets.

Ability to develop and communicate business cases in collaboration with assay product management for new market opportunities and proposals

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

PhD in bioinformatics or related field

Previous experience with assay design and bioinformatics software for next-generation sequencing/genomic data analysis

Experience as a software product manager, product owner or similar position with software development life cycle and scrum methodologies experience

The salary range for this role is $110,000-$130,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
