Project Costing Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

Classification: Non-Exempt / Non-Bargaining
Position may be located remote. #LI-Remote
Serving as the central point of contact for all project costing issues for an
assigned area
Analyze data to find issues and recommend solutions or policy changes when
applicable
Performing all accounting functions related to capital projects (including
review for adherence to capitalization policy, review of project actuals for
closing to fixed assets, project status maintenance and reporting)
Assisting with period closing processes
Performing capital project aging analysis to ensure timely project closes.
Preparing journal entries
Performing account reconciliations
Preparing audit work papers and schedules, as required
Other duties specific to Property Accounting
Working Hours – Monday thru Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Qualifications

Bachelors degree or Associates degree with 2 – 3 years of related
professional experience
Solid knowledge of GAAP and the ability to apply accounting principles to
general accounting functions
Experience with month-end close and working with general ledger and subledgers
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of
management
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Excel pivot tables and
lookups
PeopleSoft experience a plus

Salary

Pay range (commensurate with skills and experience): $41,998 – $63,660
