Position Overview

As a Data Scientist Intern, you’ll work with data, recognizing patterns, and contribute to scalable technical solutions. You’ll model data to optimize reporting that directly impacts the speed and efficiency of gaining insights.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with data professionals, gaining valuable insights into the design and implementation of data assets that serve both business and analytics needs, while playing a vital role in product success and machine learning advancements

Responsibilities

Support data modeling: Assist in the design and development of data models, ensuring proper structuring of data to optimize reporting and analytics processes

Implementdata modeling practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and scalability across diverse business contexts

Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can improve business decisions or operational efficiency

Minimum Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree seeking program with an expected graduation date in 2026with a focus in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field

Familiarity with data modeling principles and concepts

Have solid foundation with data manipulation tools (SQL, python) and with databases

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ETL tools like Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, etc

Passion for working with data and contributing to scalable, technical solutions

About the US Intern Program

The 2025 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 19 – August 8 or June 16 – September 5). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Our internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing flexibility in support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.

Salary Transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized intern base salary to be between:

$47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)

$72,800 and $118,500 (Masters/MBA students)

$118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
