Able to follow and understand directions, is able to work on own and
with others, follows safety procedures, can make good cuts with a skill
saw, knows how to place, finish, vibrate and cure concrete, has basic
knowledge of concrete forms and falsework erection, able to recognize
problem areas and point them out to others, general understanding of
form bracing and pressure from concrete, understands safety and works
safely, has knowledge of torch set up and operation, knows crane signals
and has rigging skills, is dependable. Is able to read
drawings/blueprints with general understanding, is able to identify
problems and solve most of them on own, able to determine sequencing of
how form erection should tape place. Can act as crew leader of 3 5
people, plan ahead for them and delegate work assignments, ensures work
site is safe and subordinates work safely, has rigging experience, set
up for safety (knows rules and regulations). Tools required: tape
measure, hammer, pencil, square, apron, knife and level.

Responsibilities

– Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil,
chalk, and marking gauge.
– Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe
and clean environment.
– Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level.
– Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools,
machines, or power saw.
– Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to
prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials
required.
– Assemble and fasten materials to make framework, using hand tools
and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue
– Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground
level.
– Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and
repair or replace, using hand tools.
– Construct forms for pouring concrete.
– Perform tasks on all areas and aspects of construction project.
– Work with tools, lumber and materials.
– Listen and understand information.

Knowledge

– Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the
construction or repair of structures.
– Knowledge of arithmetic and application of same.
– Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses,
repair, and maintenance.

Physical/Abilities

– The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm
or while holding your arm and hand in one position.

– The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support
part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without
giving out or fatiguing.
– Ability to climb ladders for heights of up to 60 feet, and crawl for
distances of 50 feet.
– Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 80 lbs for 50 feet
– Ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two
legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying
down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole
