JOB SUMMARY: This position provides clerical support to the facility nursing team, which includes maintaining adequate medical supplies for the units they support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains inventory or medical supplies by ordering supplies with established par levels set by DON

Inventories medical supplies as requested by Administrator or Regional VP

Tracks medical supplies on designated electronic software/computer

Maintains the supply area in a clean, orderly fashion

Informs the DON and/or Administrator of concerns related to supply levels or quality

Coordinates and ensures physical transportation appointments and documents on calendar as directed by the Unit Coordinator

Monitors lab schedule and reports as requested by the Unit Coordinator

Completes unit filing

Verbally responds to call bells informing appropriate staff to respond

Answers unit telephones and forwards calls/messages as directed by Unit Coordinator

Prepares MD appointment packets for external medical appointments.

Completes forms as requested

Completes monthly reports as required/requested (copier count, glove count, defibrillator reports, etc.)

Performs any other duties as assigned by Unit Coordinator, DON or Administrator

Maintains HIPPA privacy, security and confidentiality.

Maintains resident rights

Excellent Communication Skills, coordinating activities in conjunction with other departments to ensure residents feel safe and empowered.

Attends and completes all required in-services and annual training requirements

Displays excellent Customer Service by assisting and cooperating with other personnel and interdisciplinary teams exhibiting helpfulness and support to all team members. Provides direction to visitors, staff, volunteers and external populations

Ability to lead a team and delegate tasks professionally, brings concerns promptly to Supervisor or designee, assists in welcoming and integrating new staff into facilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum High School diploma or equivalentPreferred Associates degreeMinimum 6 months experience working in a customer service positionPreferred 1 year of experience working in a customer service position
