DESCRIPTION OF WORK
A Community Health Nurse works to prevent, control, and eliminate health problems for clients. You will assess, plan, and implement public health services by providing educational and clinical services to help people improve their health. This will include working with external partners to make sure our programs are available and relevant for the community.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Work infrequently requires statewide travel and irregular or flexible work hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays in accordance with policy.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:

All positions require active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.

All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
You must pass a background investigation.
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
