DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Plumbing Trade Instructor, you will provide instruction in all areas of plumbing to inmates. This includes on-the-job training and shop instruction in the areas of general plumbing maintenance, preventative plumbing maintenance, and installation of new plumbing fixtures and equipment. You will be planning and assigning work to inmates receiving plumbing training and reviewing and inspecting work in progress and upon completion. You will independently determine the procedures, tools, equipment, and materials to be used by inmates in carrying out assignments, and you can expect to be responsible for the care, custody, and control of inmates during training and work assignments. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Five years of experience in the inspection, maintenance, repair, assembly, and installation of pipes, fittings, and fixtures used in heating, water, and drainage systems; or
Completion of an approved apprenticeship in the plumbing trade; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of journey level work in the plumbing trade.

Other Requirements:
You must successfully complete basic training in Elizabethtown, PA.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
